Your Questions About Trips & Outings, Answered

No experience required. Waders optional.

Questions encouraged.

  • Trips are filled based on a mix of factors including participant interest, availability, prior participation, and trip capacity. Our goal is to be fair and give as many people as possible an opportunity to get on the water throughout the season.

  • Not at all. Many of our trips are designed specifically for beginners. Guides and volunteers are there to support you regardless of skill level.

  • Most trips include a meet-up time and location, a safety brief, fishing time, lunch or snacks (depending on the trip), and time to connect with other Participants and volunteers. Details are always shared ahead of time so you know what to expect.

  • Transportation varies by trip. Some trips offer carpool options while others require you to meet at the location. Trip details will clearly outline transportation expectations.

  • Safety always comes first. If weather or water conditions are unsafe, trips may be delayed, modified, or canceled. Participants will be notified as early as possible if plans change.

  • None. Your Team Lead/Mentor will help determine what you need and will coordinate getting you the appropriate gear at no cost to you.

  • That will depend entirely on your Team Lead/Mentors. There is no set requirement for how often you meet, other than the shared goal of getting you on the water at least once during the season, and hopefully more.
